Taking New Knowledge to students’ doorstep, Taking modern S & T to rural India, “ Discovering Little scientists and ‘Science for Little science’, technology workshops, Providing benefits of health related technologies to rural folks.

We are in “knowledge century” and era of globalization. Unfortunately, in India, tuning of teaching curricula to new knowledge is sluggish resulting in a progressively increasing gap between what is known and what is taught, which in turn adversely affects research, the mother of new knowledge. To close this gap and nurture talent the academy has developed outreach program of Mobile workshops on current topics that takes new knowledge to students’ doorsteps.

Likewise to promote research culture the Moving Academy of Medicine and Biomedicine (MAMB) has develop special research-oriented educational programs for young medicos. India is projected as a future growth engine in the global order. But to achieve this objective our S & T should be of global standards. Our system hardly provides adequate hands-on training. With generous support from Sir Dorabji Tata Trust the Academy established a modest life science laboratory. The Academy now offers both in house and mobile hands on technology workshops both in lab medicine and life science.
